Afternoon all, I thought I'd come and share my January experience.
My A6 is a T-Reg so she's getting on a bit, but after this month I think I'll be running her into the ground.
January is my MOT, Service and Tax month... so it's never usually something to look forward to.
Let start the ball rolling, Tax comes out at £185 for the year.
I had my MOT + Service done, and it failed the service - suspension something or other and various other bits.. £668
I went back at the weekend to get the A/C regassed as that was pretty much empty, and to pay for the spark plugs and fuel pipes which were replaced came to about £150...
A few days later, I had problems starting my car. It got so bad I had to sign up with the AA and call them out, the problem was there was air in my fuel line. £45 + £69 premium for my AA cover. Thankfully I park far enough from my home to have to pay for home recovery (another £60)
I took it to the garage to get it checked out, and whilst they were checking it over the fuel pump gave up completely. I left the car with them for a few days, and when I finally got it back the bill was about £330 for the pump and hours, as the problem was intermittent and not clear from the get go.
I went to my car Sunday afternoon, to find the rear left passenger window had been smashed. Nothing stolen, it would indicate drunken vandelism. Thankfully I won't be penalised for claiming off insurance and just have to pay for £75 excess, I also paid £10 for duct tape, rubble bags and a small shammy to get it covered in the meanwhile.
....these things happen hey
