Bad caps on power board

Hi there!

I know Samsung have had issues with bad caps on some of their tv's. My 5 y/o Samsung tv has developed an issue where the screen has two faint lines running left to right. It's not a massive issue until watching a darkened scene in a movie.

I have run through several troubleshooting guides via the web, and have found no loose connections but have found a few bad caps on the power board. The tv has no power issues at all.

Could the bad caps on the power board cause these lines on the picture on screen? AND, is it worth my time swapping out the bad caps for better quality ones?

How do you know they are "bad"?
What's the model no of the set?

Those 2 caps are life expired, I'd replace all 4 as a matter of course

yeah i agree, but do you think those bad 'uns could cause the screen issue above?

They look like smoothing capacitors so they 'could' be letting noise through which would cause dirty picture.
