    Hi guys,
Not sure if this is the right forum but....
I want to record\backup a movie on my PC by connecting my PC to my TV (using TV as my monitor), then using my DVD Recorder connected to my TV, to record it.
Would the best way be by connecting my TV to the PC using the S-Video cable, then hitting record on my DVD Recorder? Also, could I connect my DVD recorder (S-Video) to my graphics card and then record whats on the monitor?
Basically I'm just trying to backup a movie I have on my PC, but need an alternative to the standard way.
    Any help much appreciated,
    Danny.

Why do you want to use an analogue method rather than backing up the movie digitally?

What format (filetype) is the original movie in?

    Ok thanks.

I assume ideally you would like to save it as a DVD-Video, is that correct?
