Being new to this Sky+ malarkey could someone tell me if its possible to back up the Hard Disk to my Compaq Pocket PC. If it is possible what equipment do I need and suggestions as to where this can be purchased would be most appreciated.

Good god - is it april fools already.

    Sorry for the sarcasm....

Only way to do this is to capture it to a PC using a tv capture card in AVI and MPEG it to what would be a very small file to fit your pocket pc.

A 1 hour AVI (10GB) could be compressed to a 1gb MPEG2 file without too much loss.

    lol, no. put bluntly

you could capture to a PC and then compress, you could get it down to 128mb if you tried but it would be pixelated and mono sound. ("Pocket dvd studio" can fit a dvd into a 128mb card and have pretty decent quality but then its working with an easier to work with medium)
