    Backing Up Laptops

    Hello

Some people may have been in the same boat as me so i would welcome so help or recommendation.

I am looking for backup solution for users with remote laptops. At present they don't backup, so all their documents and emails are exposed to being lost if their hard drive goes wrong . The emails are download via pop3 (cannot change this at present) so once downloaded from they are at risk.

I am looking for a solution that backs up to an external hard drive. As the responsbilty falls on the user to back their laptop up, it needs to be simple and easy to use but robust enough not to fail. Even something like press one button and the job runs

At present i am not concerned about backing up the entire laptop , but the Documents and Outlook (2003/2007)

The only other requirements is Password Protection and Encyption.

I am aware of Online backups but at the moment this is not required.

If you're just after backing up Outlook mail try here. As for backing up 'my documents' have a look at Cobian Backup a free utility that has many features including auto backup facility + its free. BTW I use this myself. :)

    Hope that helps!
