Backing music on cd?

    My son is learning the guitar and I was wondering if there are any cds that provide popular rock or otherwise tracks that do not have the guitar tracks on them so he can play along side the song, a bit like having a good drummer and bass player in your bedroom.

    Check out a lot of the monthly magazines for guitarists. Many of them regularly come with a CD tailor made for just that very purpose.

    They tend to have tutorials in the mag on how to play the pieces, then the backing track for the same pieces on the CD.

    WH Smith stock a few of them. :smashin:
