Anyone got any info on this one that is released in the UK on R2 in November. Will it have anything extra on it to the previous versions?

Yes, some of the extras that were in the Region 1 release and the discs will have the correct framing which affected part 2 and 3 (minor corrections).

The new release is just the standard 3 Discs plus a 4th Disc containing most of the extra features that were on the Region 1 release but not on the Region 2 release.

I have pre-ordered the Australian release from DVDCrave for £18.22 and its released on the 5th October.

The dts according to all the reviews added nothing to the mix.

Hopefully the correctly framed versions will be in the boxset and there will be no slipups this time.

Considering the first 3 Discs are going to be identical to the already available discs the DTS should be on there but personally I would prefer if they removed it and added in the missing Commentary tracks for BTTF 2 and 3.

Phil I think means end of November - I think he's just getting excited by this nice Japanese set :)

According to the R2 Japan release it'll have the DTS tracks, but the details on CDJapan are a little limited, but the Kubrick figures should be nice !

I sold on mine due to messed up framing. May get this when it's re-released. Japan does get all the best DVD sets though.

I found out about the bad framing thanks to this forum and got my replacements ages ago so hopefully Universal would have the good sense to use the newer masters.

Also, the original 3 Disc set didnt include commentary tracks on BTTF 2 and 3 and considering the 3 Film Discs in the new set are identical I would assume they would still have no commentary due to no room left on the disc, maybe if they removed the DTS they could fit them on but I doubt they will do that.

Only the extras that were missing from the original release are on the 4th Disc, the film discs will be identical to the already available discs.

Thanks for the heads-up on this. I've had my copy for years and never noticed.

Unfortunately, the telephone number for the UK on the website is wrong. So far the best telephone number is 020 7079 6000. But I'm still waiting for a reply about if I'm able to still get the replacement dvds sent out to me FOC.

Well neither of the email addresses are working anymore. I got an automated response from both telling me to call them directly to "discuss" the replacement disks!
