back to the future framing?

    Could someone please tell me whether this trilogy has been re-released with the correct framing?

    I think the R1 version has mate, not sure about R2 but if I remember correctly there was a problem with the picture being a bit dark or something on the R1...

    Do a search on here for it, there was quite a bit of talk about it...

    when u mean correct framing do u mean the aspect ratio???

    He is talking about the error on the dvd's of parts 2&3, where certain scenes had been incorrectly aligned or framed. The aspect ratios weren't part of the problem.

    As said above, search the forum for info.

    All I can say mate is do a search, I recieved the Trilogy last christmas and didnt know how to get the correct discs until I registered here, sent off a letter asking for replacements of disc 2 and 3 and recieved them less than a week later.

    But Universal which is in the process of being sold off still hasn't re-released them with correct framing in any part of the world market, u still have to be aware of the problem and send ur discs in and then wait.

    Universal also messed up the recent Monty Python film and messed up Jurassic Park on its first initial release on region 1.

    and i thought films shot flat in academy ratio were easy to transfer full or widescreen. i know the special effects were hard matted.
    come to think of it werent BTTF shot in super35mm??? that would explain the above prints.
