I would like to build a good stereo system that will last me for a few years, and want a setup that will compliment the Monitor Bronze B2 speakers better than the cheap sony receiver I currently have.

I am looking at the Arcam CD73 and either the A65+ or A80 amplifier to go with it. My question is will the A80 be powerful enough for the speakers? It is rated at 65W (which I suspect is closer to the truth than the 80WPC rating of the Sony). I have previously heard an Audiolab 8000a which is rated at 60W and it sounded very impressive.

This would probably get more response in the AV Receivers forum instead of the speakers forum... Mod to move?
