Danny Boyle is developing a modern day police drama series for Channel 4.

To be written by Sam Bains and Jesse Armstrong (Peep Show).

The pilot will shoot later this year, with a planned 2014 air date for the show.

Been looking forward to this since I saw the first advert. Hope they haven't just crammed all the good bits into the trailer though.

Soon as I saw the ad at the cinema a few weeks ago, I was looking forward to this also.

Don't think the story will be anything new as the trailer pretty much gives you all the clues you need but still looks very well done and will raise a smile I'm sure.

My recorder totally fouled up on this. It recorded less than a minute of it. Please don't tell me it was brilliant.

Very good, didn't go the route I thought it would from the trailer but looking forward to seeing more of this later in the year.

Some really good actors around TV these days and they seem to appear in good stuff as well. Few of the cops and the cameraman (who in psychoville also) always give in a nice performance.

Enjoyed that, nice take on the police drama, it did not blow me away as expected, but enough i'll like to see more, all depends on the stories, nice performances

Very good actors but standard formula.
Hopefully it will develop over the first season but I found the jokes laboured.

Not as good as I expected, probably because we saw most of it in the trailer. It also seemed a bit confused as to whether it was a drama or a comedy, mainly because of that conflicted armed response police officer. Intrigued rather than excited about a full series.

I shall quote the wife ''What a waste of electricity. I'm off to bed''. Which, to be honest is quite a put down of the show as our central heating has broken down and the bedroom is freezing.

Watched last night and enjoyed it despite no actual laughing out loud. The lack of direction at the siege was great. Will certainly watch a series of it.

Cheers for that but I hate logos so i didn't watch it there but we went unlimited broadband this week so we watched it on 4od. It was kind of interesting at times as a drama but it certainly didn't kill me with laughter as a comedy. If it does go to series I'll give it a go in the hope they improve on this pilot.

I'll probably end up comparing it to A Touch of Cloth.

After a great pilot, I was looking forward to this... and I haven't been disappointed so far.
Babylon (along with Toast) is possibly the finest comedy on tv at the moment.

I hear THAT, Clem Fandango !

    Enjoyed Babylon, although after the
    exit of commissioner
the senior management / PR parts were less interesting. The armed response unit was the best. The paintball visit was hilarious

I think 6 episodes was about right. I'd watch another series, but i think there needs to be a new element of some kind.
