So who's rushing out today to get their Region 2 copy of the boxset?  I've been waiting for this set since April '04

A major :thumbsdow to WB for making us wait so long for the the final season, Region 1 had theirs 2 weeks before we got the Region 2 release of B5 Season 4.

Anyways as of today my evening's viewing is sorted for the next couple of weeks. :smashin:

    Yup got my copy today.

Made all the better that it was paid for via a reward voucher earned from a flight to LA last year :)

So, why did you wait for the R2 item to appear?

I ask myself the same question  but the main reason is that the rest of my TV series collection is R2 so I wanted to keep them consistent. Having said that, my movie collection boxset (5 disc) and initial movie releases (double sided DVD) are Region 1 because they are either better value or have more features than their R2 equivalents.

I have one more episode left of season 4 to watch but I'm going to wait until the price drops before purchasing season five.

Enjoy it dude, if my memory serves me right its a cracking season of the most underatred sci fi show ever - really :censored: on star trek.

Heh I have been known to watch previous seasons in about 4 evenings but I thought I would pace myself with this one as this is the last boxset and then I'll have to start at the beginning again :p

I certainly will enjoy it :D my main enjoyment comes from the long story arcs spread over the entire 5 year length of the series. Something that ST:TNG never did and I think was only brought in from ST:DS9 onwards in order to compete with the likes of B5.

The B5 S5 UK R2 dvd appears to have a missed few minutes of the Fall of the centauri prime episode recap and titles at the beginning. I read this in other forums. Looks like you will have to phone Warners again

The quickest I've watched a TV DVD box set of 22 episodes is three months for Babylon 5 season 4... The longest is 19 months for Angel season one.

You're really right about Babylon 5 being underrated especially when it :censored: over Star Trek from a great height, then pulling down its trousers and mooning it.

Does anybody know if there were any problems with the Australian season five box-set of Babylon 5? With the news that the UK versions are missing certain parts I would rather buy a PAL box-set if possible.

No I am not a public sector worker GaryD but with all the Sky TV, and DVD movies to watch as well as TV DVDs it's hard to find time to fit everything in. Plus I like to stretch it out, to savour the episodes and also by doing this I don't have to pay full price when the next box-set is released. Saving me money to buy even more DVDs :D

Is it just me, or is there more dirt and sparkle than on previous seasons  . It certainly never jumped out at me before, but as has been commented on elsewhere it is a while since S.4 was released. Any views?
    Chris.

To me both seasons 4 & 5 picture quality seem to be below that of the previous 3 seasons.

Any one else considering asking Warner Bros for the new style packaging for thier old style 1 - 3 packaging?

I haven't seen the quality of season five yet but found three and four far superior to the first two seasons. in particular I found season one extremely poor visually.
