    Hi ya

During the summer I was quite lucky to get near some young waterfowl, and have only just started to PP them now:eek:. I was quite surprise how close I could get to them, because they are very nervous at this age, and a couple of times had to watch out for excited mothers as well:eek:.

Some of these you may off seen before, but going to start off with these cygnets that I caught at a young age.

Lovely processing. that last one looks like it could be from a magazine or something.

    Thanks all.

    Few more.

    Duckling this time

    Another one of the cygnets

Then this little fellow, a Moorhen chick, this is most probably the best I have got of this little fellow, he was so quick and it was a bit on the dark side, in the end had to use 800 ISO, thats why there may still be a bit of noise there. But I did lose a lot of shots on this one, got to remember he is only about 3 inches wide and so quick.

You always expose your shots really relaly well, that last one from the first set is my favourite - the colours of the water and the waterfowl look great together, well done. I've never actually tried any nature shots myself, dont have the money for the lens though I suppose.

Thanks for the kind words, but this may be a bit of a shock to you but these were all taken with the Sigma 70-300 mm which I paid about £130, but you can now pick it up for just over £100:eek:. From my little knowledge I do rate this lens very highly.

    Hello there

Baby Moorhen this time, maybe not the best picture in the world. These are very hard to capture, they are very shy and only about 4" wide.

    Hello there

Another from off one off the twin cygnets in earlier posts. Had to crop this a little due to a badly blown out neck which I couldn't rescue. Very tough lighting with bright sunshine and shadows.

This is my pick from your last few days posts. Mostly due to the quality of the light more than anything else, and also the detail in the eye is there. I don't mind the background ducklings - they're blurred enough to not distract too much.

    Hello there

Thanks 159, its one of the shot I like myself as it goes, like most wildlife shots happened to be in the right place at the right time with the light. But I do , if I can have the sun behind me in these sort of shots and try and get as low as I can, this one I think I was on my chest , lying on two black bags that I always bring with me.

Cheers Liquid, but don't let the wife hear you say that:D
