b&wcdm1nt stands is it worth (filling them) and what with please

    have cdm1nt +b&w stands these can be filled but any benifit in doing this ,what exactly do i fill them with, have seen thread to fill them with (shot) where to obtain (shot) if i decide to do this thank you

    Stands really need to be heavy and spiked (although not always!!!)

    Fill with sand for weight and make sure they feel sturdy and you get that 'solid connection to the floor' feeling when you place them.

    Yeah, but best to make sure its kiln dried sand or watch your stands rust from the inside out!
    Failing that I have heard of people drying out sand in an oven,tray full at a time,might take a while to do 10kg or so though and best not to do it for too long or you might end up with glass instead!!
