I have a B&W810 sub connected to a Denon 3808a. The sub is set to auto power and whether the amp is on or off it makes a ticking noise, similar to a clock and about 2Hz (2 times per second). Is this normal or should I get it checked out even though the Sub seems to beworking OK in all other respects.

Thanks in advance for any and all advice.

Get it checked out. I replaced an amp board in a 608 not too long ago as it was making a high pitched whine - these Class D amps should be silent.
