I have a 5.1 system using all the speakers from B&W's CDM NT range and have been investigating moving to a 7.1 setup.

This would of course require me to use a further 2 surround speakers and I've been advised (by B&W) to use another pair of their CDM SNT's. These are neither bi or dipole but full range speakers.

Has anyone else got a 7.1 set-up and use they CDM NT range ?

Would not using di/bi/tri pole speaker for the sides be ok?

    Any advice?

    thanks.

Its now recommended that monopole speakers be used for the rear centres instead of bi/di/tripoles.

Its a matter of personal taste whether you use monopoles as the left & right surrounds.

See if you can get them on demo and go from there.

    cheers
