Has anyone upgraded the plastic phase plug's on their Nautilus speakers for a pair of aluminium or copper ones similar to the phase plugs used in the signature speakers ? I've got a pair of standard 805's and I am interested to find out if it's a worthwhile cheapish upgrade.

I would like to know if it improves the sound, too.

I've just ordered a pair of official B&W Nautilus signature phase plugs to replace the plastic ones that come with the standard 805's. I shall let you know the differance they make when they arrive.

Did these make a difference at all to your B&Ws, or has anybody else changed their's?, if so is there any improvement.

Yep - ive changed the phase plugs on my 804s on the advice of another forum member. I have to admit that B&W were a little reluctant to supply them but gave in when I reminded them about all the product Id bought. Ive noticed that the new 800 range come with heavyweight metal phase plugs as standard.
Does it make a difference ? Small but worth having - adds a little more "naturalness" to the sound. I wouldnt go back and I will be slowly upgrading the phase plugs on the 5 others in the system. For about £35 per pair, its worth doing.

Its very easy on the 800 series. Must take all of about 5 seconds per speaker. unscrew. remove. screw in. sit back. smile.
not sure about the CDM series.

I have also seen some gold phase plugs on other websites that look pretty cool, dont know what they sound like though.
