    They're £1400 new,plus the stands.
As for 2nd hand....depends on condition and age,but you'd expect anywhere from £900-1200 in good condition, although you may have luck finding cheaper examples.

Try ebay and www.ex-dem.co.uk for prices, remembering that dealers will obviously add a margin to prices, and prices on ebay sometimes go in excess of the true value.

Speakers two years old and in fairly good condition generally sell for about 60% of new price. Adjust up or down depending on how old they are.

805's generally hold their value better than most - I've been tracking them on ebay and exdem for about a year now and they tend to go for about £750-1100 on ebay and about £1000+ from dealers, depending on finish, age and whether they have stands with them. The stands are critical, and the B&W matched stands are £400 list - but you can do better - granite stands from HNE are the best I've come across, and a good match for what is a very heavy standmount speaker.

I speak as an 805 owner with (copied from an HNE design) granite stands - I got them made by a friendly local marble and granite specialst.

I agree that you can get better sound with a better speaker stand, however the 805s are very design orientated and their own stands do mirror the speaker design nicely while still retaining good sound quality (also an 805 owner).

Second hand - it really depends on the condition - although a popular speaker, most people tend to hang on to them.
I was thinking about selling mine which are immaculate (fully run in) and upgrading to the new S model although I'd have to have a proper listen first as I like the sound of mine.

CMO - you`ll like the sound of the new one very much indeed. Apparently its even better than the 805 signature that it really replaces and the sig was a considerable improvement on the already very good standard 805. I regularly use 805 sigs at my Dealer as they demonstrate the differences between components and cable very well. The new 805S' are going to make you want to sell your pair to monkeyboy69, Im sure.

Sooooo - how much are immaculate condition 2nd hand 805's worth then ????

Ive got a red cherry pair and I may change them for the new model at some point.

BTW - change your phase plugs for the ones used in the sigs (cost £50) and you will get a worthwhile performance upgrade

There are a pair of 805 sigs on ebay at the moment - £1100 I think at present.

    Cheers
