    Hi all.

I'm thinking of adding a power amp to my setup. I used to have one with my larger speakers and loved it.

I currently use a Marantz 6010 with a 5.1 setup of M1's, but will likely be changing to large floor standers in the future.

Do you think I will hear any benefit of the power amp with the M1's at this stage?

I'm picking up an Emotiva 5175 shortly. Just wondering what y'all rekon.

If you've got an eye on the future with an upgrade to bigger and better speakers and can get the Emotiva at a good price then why not. Will it make a significant difference to the M1s, that I doubt. Getting a Rega stereo amp to run my front KEF R300s did make a difference as they thrived on the extra power but that amp was added to allow HT bypass for music, just like the large B&Ws would do.
