B&W M-1 system, should I go 5.1 or 7.1?

For the extra $400 it would take to add 2 additional M-1 speakers to make a 7.1 system instead of a 5.1 system, I'm wondering if it is likely to make a big difference, or if it will be $400 poorly spent. Any thoughts?

Good point. That's exactly the reason why I was thinking about it. The room is about 14 feet wide x 26 feet long. THe primary viewing location will be about 12 feet from the front so that the front speakers will be about 12 feet away and the rears will be 14 feet away, which is why I was thinking an extra set of speakers on the sides might be a good idea.
