    Hi,

I am currently looking at getting the following B&W setup:

    DM602 S3 for front
    DM601 S3 for rear
    DM600 S3 for rear centres
    LCR60 S3 for front centre
ASW300 or ASW 600 for sub

Would anyone recommend this setup - I want it for AV use and music, mainly dance type stuff - or anything else?

I have looked at the Kef eggs - although brilliant with AV - I thought maybe somehting was lacking music wise?

    Any thoughts on this?

    Cheers,

    Tim

Cheers, those Kef's are a little out of my price range.

Which Wharfedale's did you mean, the Diamond or Pacific evolution range?

Would you not recommend the B&W setup?

I've got a similar B&W setup (as per sig) minus the centre-rears and sub. I have never been disappointed by the sound on either movies or music.

Getting a sub soon and was thinking of a B&W ASW675. I have also been recommended a REL Q150E which looks like it might be better for my setup, for switching between hi and lo level inputs.

You will be hard pushed to find a better solution than the B&W's. Consider listening to the same system with 601's at the front, or even the rear centres. Thes have a very similar character to the LCR60 and the subwoofer can be used to tune the bass performance. (get the ASW600)
