Well it will do the trick in terms of making sound come out of all the speakers, in regards to the quality of the sound though, that depends on your room, what you are listening to, your listening habits, your ears, and your general expectations.
The good thing is that the Yamaha RX A1060 does have pre-outs for all 7 channels, so you can add additional amplification if you want to later on. That would either be power amp(s) to improve headroom and dynamics, or maybe an integrated amp to improve the tone and 'musicality' for listening to music. Also, will you be using a subwoofer with the set-up? That would also help things as it will take some of the power demands away from the AVR, as well as going lower and giving you deeper bass than the speakers can do on their own.
Any particular reason why you are looking at the Yamaha 1060, have you considered other options?
