B&O Beogram 2000 connection leads problem

New here- and wondered if anyone could help?

Long story short, I now have a B&O Beogram 2000. The lead from the deck went to a 7 pin din, and that was it.
So, I bought a 7 pin midi female plug to 2 phonos lead. But, when I connect it all, and plug the phonos into my amp, I get the same result as I did before- you can hear the deck playing something but no more. The amp is fine- I use it daily. Any suggestions as to how I might solve the problem, please? Thanks a lot!

The 7 pin DIN was designed to connect to a Beomaster 2000 receiver so using a MIDI cable (which is designed for use with MIDI keyboards etc) is never going to work. You need to try a B&O cable specialist eg:
He's having a break from making cables until Saturday so wait until then.
