The BeoSound should have an AUX input (pair of RCAs) which will match up to the Hitachi's Audio output on the back of the media box. Just need a decent stereo audio cable.

My 9000 had a 7 pin din for aux (5 pin din will work as well) and I purchased a cable with 2xRCA phono to 7 pin din plug to connect my TV and then just choose aux on the Beo4 remote to play that source through your speakers.

Only possible if speakers are active as 9000 doesn't have an amp. My speakers are the Beolab 8000 which have built in amps but I am not sure about the 4000 series.

all B&O speakers (Beolab) are active (recent ones, BeoVox were passive) and yes 9000 has a DIN AUX input you can hook TV sound up to.
