Over on the AV science forum craigsub (a well respected sub reviewer/owner) has done a review comparing a single Axiom E600 against a pair of SVS PB12 Ultras and he says the E600 was better.

Let the flames begin

It's certainly an interesting looking beast as it resembles a giant floorstander at nearly 4' tall

I wonder what the secret is? Very large reflex port breathing more easily?
Better amp design? Larger enclosure? We should be told! :D

I would like to see more evicence and comparisons to determine just in what way the Axiom is better. There might be some advantage in low-bass decay and room issues at work here. Strange enough the UltimateAV review mentions a shortage of internal bracing in the EP600.

We will see the coming months if this sub really IS better, which would be a good thing for anyone looking for affordable alternatives to SVS. :)

It's also available direct from the Manufacturer with free shipping within the UK.

That price of £1,060 looks too good to be true as it is hardly any more than the US price without taking into account the costs of flying it over here plus duty and vat.

You need to add Duty and VAT to it. Total is 1301.55.

Looks nice too......hmmmmmmmm

Ikka and craigsub appear to be going at hammer and tongs over on the avs forum at the momment.

Great thread.

Looks like its pistols at dawn,as the BK Monolith rides into the sunset!!!!!!!!!!!

It really ceased to be interesting several pages ago and is now just two blokes arguing over the sort of trivial technicalities that are of interest to very few people and we really don't need to give them any more publicity please.
