This week was the first Axalp airshow in a few years and my first time. Basically the display allows the public to view target practice at roughtly 2,200m altitude which means you need to get yourself and all your gear up there! I went with my daughter and we took the chairlift to reduce the hike to about 2 hours with 300m+ ascent. Here are 6 of 2,000 pics I came how with... Better pictures are possible from the other side of the valley, if you are up to a 7 hour climb to get up there!

Great set. Puts the Mach Loop to shame. :rotfl:

And you lugged that 600f4 up the hill

On a critical note, shutter speeds are high. Frozen propellers and backgrounds lacking blur on jet shots. Good excuse to get back up there for the next event. :)

A great set. I like the way that some of the shots also capture the condensation clouds over the wings.

Plus on the other side of the valley to get the even "Better pictures" :smashin:

Thank you :) the main viewing location faces south so most of the action is backlit by the sun. Not sure I'll ever be fit enough for the 7 hour climb to reach the ridge on the far side!
