    Hi

    I've just got a pioneer 434, ax5, 868 set-up. Am pre-outing the l/r to my hifi amp.

how do i get macc to work?

It's best to use i-link for audio and hdmi for video?

If it's an integrated hifi amp then set the volume to about 12 'O' Clock then run the MCACC as per normal and the AX5 will set itself up. All you need to do in future is set the volume on your integrated amp to where it was when you ran the MCACC when you want to use the AX5. For cds then I would run them directly to the hifi amp.

    that is wrong.

you would be wasting the functionailitity if you didnt use I link.

Souns like you have the same set up as me.

504 on the way at some point, ax10is, 868 and hs20 for now, with naim audio pre and power running from speakers.

As said above I just used the preouts to the hifi and set the amp to 12 o clock (scary if you don't turn it down before listening directly especially with nap135 monoblocks!).

There is no way on earth I would not listen directly via the hifi for the purposes of hifi audio, that would be sacrilege.
