I have an Alba 17" widescreen ALCD17TV3 which I bought from Makro for £199 plus the VAT. Now before anyone says you get what you pay for, is there any reason why if I have the contrast or brightness to a reasonable level everything "yellows" out, if I reduce it to get rid of yellowing is too dark!!!!#

    Anyone have any ideas???? :lease:

Sorry to tell you, there's no other answer I can think of other than the one you already suggested. That and it's from a British electronics company, perhaps... That's a LOT of liquid crystal for that price.

Have you tried properly adjusting the settings using something Like Digital Video Essentials, or even the THX optimiser that is on the starwars DVDs?

I'd exchange it if you can. The screen shouldn't "yellow" out when you reduce contrast / brightness
