After building several homemade projector mounts from speaker brackets, TV wall stands, stainless steel chair legs, literally anything, I finally decided to shell out for a 'proper' projector mount :smashin:

I’d grown sick of trying to wedge in washers, or trying endlessly in vein to twist the thing just enough to try and keep the damn picture straight on the recoil – You know what I’m talking about don’t you?

Anyway, based on lots of positive feedback on this forum, I opted for a LMP Projector Mount from Andy at LMP Products http://www.lmp-pc.co.uk

As it turned out, Andy didn’t have the right mounting plate for the INFOCUS 5700 that I had just bought  , but he did offer to make the plate for me if I could send him the measurements :) Well, to cut a not so long story shorter, I did just that and the mount turned up this morning as promised.

Well, what can I say? I am actually somewhat lost for words….
Andy’s mounts are sheer works of art. It’s made from what appears to be brushed steel and is extremely modern in appearance, but it is built to withstand a nuclear bomb blast and then some. It is a truly stunning piece of craftsmanship and I would 110% recommend that you check LMP out as I think it is very possibly impossible, to buy such a fantastic projector mount and at a price that represents exceptional value for money.
Those crappy black tin things that retail for a few £100 are just a joke when compared to these beauties. Seriously, if you need a projector mount look no further.

They look nice and simple and strong.
My worry is the length opf that central column...

eg: about 100 feet too short !!!
    (slight over exaggeration)

Do they make the length of this central column to custom order ?

Yep. Tell Andy what length you need and I'm sure your wish shall be his command :)

Totally. Infact, I needed my projector so high that I ended up removing the tube completley! Andy is happy to build the tube to specification.

I have one too - with a 5700. I'm sure I could hang of this ceiling mount. My only criticiscm is the instructions. They seem meaningless / superflous if you have one of the tiltable axis options.
