Thought I'd post this here just for interest... Mods feel free to move etc..

quote from Al in the Email he sent me:

"These were taken in Alabama of Katrina as it was "coming in". Although devastating, there is a bit of beauty in the photos. It looked like something out of a Sci-Fi movie to me. I hope we never look up and see anything like this ever again!

And how do you know this? I'm curious.

EDIT: Just seen these pictures on an Urban Legend site and they are of an old storm and have been around for quite a while. Sorry to have doubted you Mr Dolphin!

So you don't remember the storm in the late 80's that blew the country apart (our house stayed upright, the x0 year old tree outside did not, mind you it did keep the car anchored to the ground that it landed on :rotfl: ) or the village on the south coast that recently just "vanished" into the sea due to freak rain?

We get it mate, just less frequent! :D

P.s. If i remember right, the storm in the 80's hit us with around 100 to 120mph winds which i believe is roughly what hit the US. I think we should be more greatfull that the UK is not below sea level, mostly!

    Hi,

The first two pics are beautiful, even if they aren't anythign to do with Hurricane Katrina.

I presume the photose are genuine, and not fakes/pseudo-photos?!

    In here.

They are actually photos of supercell thunderstorms and tornados.
