The built-in IR receiver on my AVR350 has a fairly narrow operating angle. Where it's situated, I have to aim my Harmony universal remote accurately, or it won't respond.
Is it possible to add a fairly cheap IR receiver to the sockets on the back? I could then put the external receiver on top of the rack. DIY isn't a problem, as long as the parts are available from Maplin.
