AVR3200 replacement - AVR2106?

Hi - looking to replace my ancient museum-piece of an amp (AVR3200) with one that has all the latest bells and whistles. Bit short of £££ so the new 2106 looks like a winner, but would I notice much of a difference? Given that currently I don't have DTS or Pro-Logic II, plus I'd expect the sound processing to have come on in leaps and bounds since the late 90s.

Anyway, looking to hear from anyone who's moved on from the 3200!
