My AVR300 sometimes powers-off unexpectedly. It happened about a dozen times in the last month. Until now it only happened when playing movies, and after 5 to 40 minutes playing time.

I use the AVR only for sound processing.

Has anybody else experienced this problem?

Thx. Cyrus

I had a loan of an AVR300 over the weekend and remember reading in the manual (I think) that you have to set the impedance switch on the back of the amp set correctly for your speakers otherwise the amp may switch off.

Or "something" is emitting a stream that affects the infrared receiver...
Try taping the diode window (NOT with transparent tape :D ) and see what happens...
And check for pets like dogs, cats, mice or children that trick you... :D

My AVR300 is shutting down intermittently when playing the turntable. Have to power off and on to get it working again. Has only started occurring since I returned the unit due to the fan coming on early as others have posted. Is this another known problem. Second trip back to the dealer after having it for 3 months so not real happy.
