    Hello,

Not sure why, but the sound out of the centre speaker has all of a sudden gone soft as if the volume is very low and 'tinny'. All other speaker volumes sound fine, it's just speach etc from the centre speaker having this problem.

    S/W 3.08 and 1.12

Happens with DVD (Arcam DV88Plus via digital coax), and TV which is via L/R audio from Hitachi 42PD3000.

THX sound test from The Village DVD sounds ok from all speakers, inc centre.

When I watch 'The Village' DVD the speach from centre is soft whether it's DD or DTS, although when I switch AVR300 DTS mode from "DTS 5.1" to "DTS S Dmix", the centre speaker sound is normal!

Have checked cable connections, and this happens on all DVD's we've tried.

Centre speaker is a Mission 78C.

    Any ideas anyone?

    Many thanks in advance...

Something not right there, if you set the AVR300 to 'DTS S Dmix' this will downmix the sound to stereo and should therefore only come out of the front left and right speakers and not the centre speaker at all.

Silly me! It's late here in the UK and i'm tired

You're right, DTS S Dmix is only coming out of the front L/R speakers. So I can exclude that from my post.

Thanks for the quick spot Crusty :smashin:
