    Hi

Apologies for asking such a basic question, some previous threads come close to an answer but not quite!

Im not sure if its best to disable PL modes on the DV79 and let the AVR250 amp do any processing. If its preferable to let the DV79 do it, do you have to change its setup every time you switch between playing DVDs and CDs?
Also if both DVD and amp have processing modes enabled does one stop the other doing it; or is this all a matter of taste best discovered through trial and error?
One last Q to show just how dumb I am, read this in a review but not sure if its saying using dv79 in stereo is limited compared to other modes??

    "The only problem is that
the DV79 is only capable of 24bit/48kHz
stereo performance, so you’ll have to
use the optical output surround sound at
    full quality."

    Thanks in advance

The PL2 processing only comes into use if you are using the analogue outputs from the player. It is really only necessary to use this feature if you don't have an up to date processor or AV amp.
