Is this amp capable enough to deal with lip synch to plasmas should the issue arrive?

Unfortunately the AVR200 does not have lipsync correction. You need an AVR250/300 (or AV8) for that.

Andrew

Ok. Thanks. Shame really, as I'm quite taken by it overall after a long time of being very dubious toward the amp.

Hi ya,
Hope someone checks the end of this thread.....
I have an AVR200 and thinking of getting a plasma,
Don't mean to sound daft, but what is Lipsync ?
Cheers

It is when the sound and picture don't quite marry up, due to a tiny delay in picture processing causing it to lag, making a programme look like it has had poorly edited dubbing.

Thankfully, my 200 is perfect 99% of the time with a Panasonic PW6. Other plasmas may have more lipsynch issues.

The only programmes I've found it on are really old. And I mean really old.

Cheers for that,
Sounds simple enough and thats cool that your AVR200 is ok.

Errrm cheap plasmers may process slower..... do you think?

Sorry got me thinking now - if plasmers process at different speeds fast being good - how about LCD screens?

Thanks again glad to know me 200 should be ok
