    Hi all,

Can anyone shed some light on this. All of a sudden on Saturday night my AVR200 turned itself off. It had been on for a couple of hours! I turned it straight back on and it was fine. I don't believe it was down to over heating as surely it wouldn't have turned back on or would have turned off again pretty quickly? It sits on its own shelf with nothing on top so their should be enough air getting to it. I was listening to the radio via my freeview box into Aux. What possible causes could there be?

Also I have had my AVR200 for a couple of months which means that my old Rotel RA930 amp is sitting redundant in the cupboard. Id be reluctant to get rid off it, Is there any way I could use it in my setup or would it not benefit anything? Currently have a rotel cd player and bog standard samsung dvd player.

Any suggestions (within reason) welcome ;-)

    Gary

Did it turn off to standby?

    Is this the first time?

    The remote wasn't anywhere nearby?

    No 1 sec power cut?

No direct sunlight onto the 200?

    You were sober? :)

That's the immediately obvious ones covered then.:)

I take it it hasn't done it since?

If it's a very intermittent fsult it could take some while to see a pattern.

I haven't noticed any others talking about this particular problem.

I use an AVR200 as a processor and it's been good since I bought it a few months ago.

I've got a C30 pre amp and I suspect it turns itself on occasionally for no reason. I've not posted about this before as I'm still not sure if this is the case but there's been a number of times I've gone to switch stuff on to find the pre amp is already powered up but both power amps and cd player are dead to the world!

My AVR300 quietly turned itself off today. I was listening to classical music from Switzerland by satelite dish.

    On re-start it was fine.

My AVR300 turned itself ON last week after a burp from the electrical grid that made my lights flicker but was not enough to affect the computer I was using.
