I'm considering changing out my reliable AVR-3802 with something a little newer for hdmi and video upscaling. the local future shop has the avr-890 on sale for $799(reg 999) or last years 989 for $679. ( it was 1199 last year). I was trying to figure out pro/cons of either. the 989 only has 4 hdmi's and no PLIIz but has a little more power (negligable i would guess). the 890 has plIIz and i thin 5 hdmi in's but no pre-outs i think. For the price the 989 looks like a better deal. Or maybe just stick it out with the 3802
