Anyone seen the spec on the AVR 250 yet?
Are recent AVR 300 purchasers gonna be sick?
I heard that it is a stripped down AVR-300 (75W/channel). No regrets here.
I'm already sick, nowt to do with AVR250 tho
and i also heard it has no pre-outs which will be a big mistake if thats true (imho).
Don't be daft, Arcam wouldn't be that stupid would they?
There's a picture of the front in the new what hi-fi and they say the 250 will be demo'd at their show in November
I hope not
I'm probably misimformed as that would be very poor form....
The AVR250 has no preouts. Audiophile Systems has a pdf brochure on their website. The AVR250 only has a Sub out where you would find all the preouts on a AVR300.
I agree it wasn't a good idea. I think that'll be a deal killer for a lot of potential AVR250 customers. The U.S. model is priced $500 lower than the AVR300 ($1699 vs $2199).
Can I swear?
Well, that's one less sale then!
even my budget (and aging) yamaha 630 has preouts!
oh well, enough said as the product is not aimed at someone like me anyway....
The price is £1000
wont even touch the denon or pioneers or yamahas at that price... for quality or value in my hho
But the avr200 has preouts so why not on the more expensive avr250?
They're obviously trying to make a more "affordable" version of the AVR300.
Update - it just got a rave review in What HiFi.
I think the lack of preouts on the AVR250 is to persuade people to go for the AVR300.
Oh you mean 'What LieFi'
Does it have the NOISEY FAN of the AVR300?
