    Hello,

(first post, glad to find this site!)

I have a DV78 player connected to a Rotel RSP-1066. I use the DV78 for both CD (analogue connection) and DVD (digital connection) with what I consider good results. However I'm excited to look at the new AVP-700, which I believe has 24bit - 192kHz DAC's. True?

If I connect my DV78 to the AVP-700 via digital out and let the AVP do the processing, will I get audio performance on par with the CD192? What kinds of improvement should I expect?

    Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure exactly what DACs it uses, but if it does use Wolfson 24/192 upsampling DACs then I am sure it does not use 4 per channel in dual differential mode as the CD192 does. If you want CD192 performance then buy a CD192.

Does anyone know the details of the DACs in the AVP-700? I know that they are Wolfson, but that's about it.
