Enough Calibration to cause a marital split :)

Heres a little Information for anyone how likes tune up there kit:

"Avia Professional (Avia PRO) is a multi-disc test suite developed by Ovation Multimedia
designed to be an all-inclusive product for the calibration of home theater systems. The
suite consists of five DVDs, a CD, plus a user manual. Avia PRO is the most technologically
advanced product for use in the professional and home theater environments.

Avia PRO offers users a rare combination of industry standards and state-of-the-art test patterns
to achieve superior sound and video quality.
Ovation Multimedia developed more than 1,000 new test signals, with approximately 3,000
variations, and over 100 sound tones as part of the Avia PRO product. The series of discs also
includes Faroudja-Genesis Microchip test patterns, Consumer Electronic Association (CEA)
DVD Video Test Disc, SMPTE test patterns, and Room Optimizer and Room Sizer Software
from RPG. The printed manual provides necessary instructions for the use of each disc.

Avia PRO not only improves “traditional” signals, but also permits functions never before possible.
The variations of available patterns allow users to select the one best suited for the job, resulting
in a customized test pattern generator for each project.
As changes in technology occur, updates to Avia PRO will be available in a timely manner. With
its 3-ring binder format, the library of discs can expand by simply adding DVD carrier sleeves,
while the manual design allows for text pages to be added or removed as necessary."

I have more indepth information on the product but dont want to bore you all to tears :)

Im hoping that one of the extra discs that will be available in the future will have PAL Patterns.

Renting would that not be Illegal ?

Dunno.. I understand the primary market for this is professional calibrators. Legally, what would be the difference between somone coming round your house with a copy and renting it yourself? I think you'd have to check the licence that comes with it.
