Which one to you prefer Avia or DVE?
I'd take either at the moment. I've had DVE on order since about 1982!!!. Must admit though Avia PRO sounds comprehensive (and expensive)
Avia Pro will eat DVE for breakfast, but its vastly more expensive.
To be honest it all comes down to how many features you require from your calibration suite.
I find standard Avia easier to navigate and use, but DVE has some great test patterns that arn't on Avia. Avia Pro is going to be too expensive for me to buy myself - what they really need to do is update the standard Avia with information about calibrating fixed pixel displays for us enthusiasts.
I ahve a very old copy of DVE and doesnt do half the stuff i want but i have held of buying Avia this long i will wait for DVE to come out, if i could convince my boss to buy Avia Pro then that would be good, but there arent enough people out there wanting this type of calibration....
Piero define vastly.
AVIA Pro will have a host of patterns that are going to be wholly useless for anyone who doesn't have necessary equipment to use with them. Just as VE had. There is going to be a Pro DVE as well don't forget.
The reccomended selling price is $400 or £240 (Exluding importation costs)
