I've got a strange problem regarding an AVI I have downloaded to a laptop running Windows 7.

This AVI plays normally using VLC Media Player.

However, when I transfer this AVI via USB stick to my PC, running XP Home, it wont play even though I'm using the same version of VLC Media Player. Also, no other media player will touch it.

Any thoughts anyone?

Corrupt USB ?

Breaks file on transfer rendering it unplayable on other computers, thats my best guess.

Try sending it over network or burn to CD/DVD then try playing it.

Thanks for your input next010. Actually I had tried several sticks all with the same result. I have however transferred the files by means of a DVD-RW & this seems to have worked
