    Hi all
I fancy watching a couple of avi files on the big screen.

Are there any really 'thin' apps to do this without upsetting anything on my carefully trimmed HCPC?

If not which DVD software players play .avi files?

    Many thanks
    Alex

I use ZoomPlayer which can be downloaded for free from http://www.inmatrix.com (if you use it though please donate) and also RadPlayer which supports subtitles.

Once you learn how to configure ZoomPlayer then its the perfect application for DVD and Media (avi/mpg/etc) playback. I've created 3 shortcuts on my desktop, one for 16:9 media, one for 2.35:1 media and a shortcut which automatically goes into DVD mode and plays the current DVD in the drive. Once the movie starts to play all I do is press the cursor up/down arrow to position the movie where I want it as I have a 4:3 screen masked at 16:9...
