Thanks as always and enjoying it so far.

I spent some time working in Denmark about 10 years ago. Spunk was / is indeed a popular sweet that came in two types: salty liquorice and fruity gum. Both types were very hard. Since everything is pretty expensive in Denmark, you should always take care not to spill your spunk.

I agree with the Mission Impossible comments
I think they should be called

Coo, I think this podcast may well be the one with the most sh*t in it i've heard. As I don't wish to be left out of the proceedings.... ahem if I may.... unless the mods feel otherwise.

I went with the Duchess for tea
She said do you fart when you pee
I replied not a bit do you belch when you sh*t
I felt that was one up for me.

Thanks gents and whilst only half way through listening to this week's podcast, I can't believe it took so long for the first bleeps after the food debate. Just a few more to add to your list -

Musicals... Have a very emotional impact on me.

As soon as a character starts to sing, i almost spontaneously combust. I simply cannot tolerate it.

I can see where this thread is going so here's my example of badly translated food titles

      IMG_3734.JPG

I'm with @Ed Selley don't like almost every musical made......except South Park. The 1st time I saw that film was with a bunch immature family members. It's an experience I'll never, ever forget. The song were one thing and hearing the gang unbleeped for the 1st time. Oh man. But yeah all the other musicals can do one.

It’s amazing what we enthusiasts will put up with in the name of AV.

Phil describes the Sony TV, which costs the same as a small second-hand car, and it basically sounds like something that doesn’t function. If my TV crashed repeatedly and dropped sound, I’d be going back to the shop and swapping for a Samsung that works properly and can actually deliver the services advertised on the box without crapping out.

Workarounds and external sources are not a serious answer when you are paying thousands for a TV. It shows the extent of how much beta-testing is done by the paying customer these days, releasing semi-functional products and fixing them with patches and updates as time goes on.

At what point do Sony sack off Android and/or put a decent processor in their TVs to handle it? This debacle shows how far they’ve fallen over the years in consumer electronics, being made to look like amateurs by the Koreans & Chinese.

I hope that no matter how good the picture is on the Sony, Phil gives it a rotten score for the seemingly terrible user experience.

On a more positive note, I’m looking forward to diving in to Lost In Space, good cast & effects work, hopefully they haven’t made it too dark & edgy. I was amused by a pithy tweet saying “I hope they haven’t ruined Lost In Space, a stupid show”.

My memory of the original show from watching repeats in the 80's was that it was pretty much the same story every week? They'd be some drama that the bad scientist would either cause or latch onto to save himself at the cost of everyone else. He's then get found out and (for some reason) be forgiven for the next episode. Sorry, should that have spoiler tags ?

Phil what’s the chance of a full unrated unedited podcast? Victims of your own success in that an hour and eight minutes seems to fly by and I’m sure I’m not alone in wanting more. Great work.

      Thanks for the great podcast^^

I went to the cinema last week (for the first time in almost two years) to see A Quiet Place. It's well done, great at building up suspenseful moments and doesn't overstay its welcome. Some minor plot holes are present but they're not much of a distraction: 7/10 (from someone who isn't the greatest horror movie freak).

Very surprised that neither @Phil Hinton or @Steve Withers have seen A Quiet Place yet. While it might be a comparatively small film, it's outgrossed Ready Player One and replaced Rampage as box office number one in the US. And any film which makes cinema audience shut the hell up and get off their phones like A Quiet Place demands is always a good thing.

I have not seen A Quiet Place, but I saw some clips - but to me it looks like it just ripped off Pitch Black, similar premise anyway it seems.

      Very amusing pod guys.

Interesting comments on the Samsung, will certainly keep and eye out when I change TVs in a few years.

OS is very important these days, I used to use the PS4 as my hub, but no longer as WebOs just works so well, so I hope Sony take note although all reviews have been pointing it out for years and they never change, their PS4 OS is so slick too.

I’m in the love La La Land / moulin rouge camp, well directed, gorgeous cinematography and great music. I’m not into Jazz, but La La Land is becoming a favourite. Liked a bit of Parker’s Evita too for the same cinematic reasons although it’s been many years since I last watched.

Not a massive musical fan, but I love Cabaret so I blind-bought All That Jazz in the B&N Criterion sale last year and it's instantly went into my top twenty films of all time. Absolutely stunning fictionalised bio-pic of the film's director Bob Fosse with the very underrated Roy Scheider crushing it as the pill-popping, boozing ladies man (to think he did Marathon Man, Sorcerer and this back to back is incredible) on course to meet his oblivion.

Contains footage of a real open heart surgery in extreme close up. You don't get that with The Greatest Showman!

Is there a reason why the chapter marker info is not included in the podcast file?
