Enjoyed this week's episode, particularly the section about the new reel-to-reel machine.

I wonder if it is aimed at the industry or whether it's a new fad for wealthy hipsters?

It's not going to make a huge impact in the recording industry in my opinion, the recording chain consists of a heck of a lot more than the master. Who knows though, maybe there'll be a resurgence of multitrack tape machines?
I know this machine is "authentic" but you can achieve the same sound with skillful use of plugins.;)

By the way, it's not the only expensive analogue toy available from Ballfinger...

That base layout and the 'arm' look just like my old Armstrad turntable from 40+ years ago . The turntable was a three pronged affair made out of moulded alloy . Looked fabulous and sounded great . There was nothing to rival it in unusual looks .

nestle vs cadburys is like arguing which is better a punch in the face or a kick in the nuts...neither are palatable

Try some green and blacks 85% dark chocolate and place 2 squares on your tongue..DON'T CHEW! Just gently suck....ooeer missus...and let it melt slowly
and relax and enjoy the chocolate equivalent of crack...once savored cheapo chocolate is just #!*=

This is the Green & Blacks owned by Cadburys, yes? I tend to avoid their output because the man who set it up is a weapons grade bellend.

Another cadburys fan, but the southern Irish dairy milk always tasted better when my dad used to bring us back bars from his travels.
Like Heinz beans or tomato soup, if raised on it, it's hard to shake of the taste.
      Lindt chili is pretty good!
Right, I'm off to the shop....

Cadbury's chocolate is no such thing anymore.. its a messed up immitation by Kraft foods and an overly sweet, oily, disgusting mess. Cadbury's by name only.

I'm slightly addicted to Lindor strawberries and cream chocolate truffles, but they cost a fortune.

I think some of it is down to maturing tastebuds and the rest down to cheapcrap ingredients to make more money as well as making most items smaller and lighter

I have to agree with the size issue, I used to think it was false memory or me just getting bigger as I grew up but now I realise that chocolate bars are getting smaller. Has anyone noticed that a Terry's Chocolate Orange has a design on each piece to make it look like a segment of orange but it isn't cosmetic, it's so they can use less chocolate. It's much sneakier than the Toblerone debacle.

Yeah, I see that still continues to trend somewhat.
Now, does cadburys taste better while watching 3D on the LG's as all the little oled niggles seem to disappear when discussing how good 3D is :)
If that's the case, Ed may need to upgrade to a 2016 LG if we have any chance of converting him to a Cadbury man!

"I've actually made £20 on my clubcard this month"

Could this have anything to do with you collecting points when you refuel your new midlife-crisismobile, Phil?

My local Tesco here in the darkest depths of northern Scotland started selling UHD Blu-rays a couple of months ago, and the bright sparks who work in the entertainment department have them all mixed in with the regular Blu-rays. Just clueless.
