For the very first time in AVForums history, we will be covering the International CES from Las Vegas 6th - 10th January 2008. In a series of podcasts, written articles and Breaking news threads throughout the show, you will be able to get a UK angle on the latest and greatest AV products and those big news stories that are bound to break.

We will be doing our best to get you exclusive interviews with those people who really count in the industry, as well as covering every major press conference and the big keynote from Bill Gates on Sunday evening (6th).

The coverage will begin Sunday evening (UK time) in the soon to be opened CES sub forum. (please note that coverage will be 8 hours behind UK time).

If there are any must have or must see events you want the latest news from, let us know here and we will do our very best to try and cover those events.

We hope you enjoy the coverage that will be brought to you as it happens, all from an AVForums perspective.

I've heard a rumour that listed some new Sony stuff at ces2008 and this included the str-da5400es av-amp.

Hope you'll be looking at that.

I will look foreward to the podcasts, I also listen and look (if they do the same as last year) to Audioholics podddies as well. It's nice that there will be a British alternative.

Hey guys, just a thought..

Would it be a good idea to leave this forum free for Phils reports and have a seperate thread for comments / discussion?

I think it would be a good thing as this thread will just be news and not be lost in general discussion.

Before anyone says, yes I know I have spoilt this by making yet another comment, but maybe a moderator can move all the general comments into a separate, new thread?

I'm looking forward to seeing some news of the Pioneer plasma (is the 9mm thick screen for real and out this year), the forthcoming Denon Blu-Ray players and perhaps some more updates on Fujitsu's pull out of the plasama market.
