You can choose any club team (ie. not international) of your choice for any of the fixtures. Match settings should be as default (10 minute matches) except for:
    • Normal condition
    • Fair weather
    • Orange Arena
All fixtures involve both a home and away leg. Please make sure someone posts the results in this thread as soon as both the home and away legs are completed (no need to record goalscorers - unless you want to). I will post final league tables after all results have been posted.

The knockout stages will be semi finals of Winner Group A vs Runner Up Group B (and vice-versa) and a Final to be held another night once the group tables have been sorted.

    Cheers, and enjoy!

The first game went laggy for me quite a bit in the 1st half up to half time but was ok in the 2nd half. Can't believe it's still laggy with the upgraded connections we have now. My internet was off, it was on orange arena, crowd noise off etc.

I also had a fair bit of lag against Munkey in my 1st game but I presume that the same was true for the reverse game.

Anyway the first game was pretty tight - only managed the 3rd goal on 85 mins and it was pretty tense up until then. :smashin:

Poontang wins on away goals. Great games and hardly any lag on this one.

OK then final Group A table:

Congrats to Cas Fan and Pooontang - no real competition there! All the best in the next round(s)...

Had fun despite the results, and was mostly lag free, though had a bit against Gthom. Not enough to explain my crapness though...

Can we have some Group B results please - I want to go and cry myself to sleep...

Ah of course it's a league - duh! There's me thinking that I desparately needed another goal against pooontang in my last game due to the away goals rule lol :rotfl: .

    Ignore me it's late!

Cheers Loz & thanks for arranging this - great compo and I love the '1 night wonder' format - works really well!

Group B table, waiting for 2 results, though it won't change who's qualified from the group:

Congrats to Hammer and Baldy. I guess its up to the four semi-finalists to decide when the next round is. Put up your suggestions...

I am at a loss to explain how bad I played ???. ( I cannot even blame lag as there was none ). but I still enjoyed the night. Good luck to hammaredit & Dj baldy79 who gave me a complete thrashing. The one night fixture worked well . ( less whisky next time ) ......got to get the excuse in . :D .hammaredit & Dj baldy79 are good blokes and I look forward to playing them again ( just not so badly).

Bring on the next one - after Ive lulled you all into a .... ah who am I kidding - you will all want me in the next comp !!

**Will stick this here as everyone seems to be in this thread now**

Cheers for games last night guys.
Not sure what happened to you Big Geordie. Did you have trouble getting on for 10? I sent you an invite at 00:20 and after 10 mins gave up and went to bed. Looks like our matches are pretty acedemic anyway.
Good games with DJ. Very close well fought, played most of the 2nd match with 10 men so was pleased with that result.
Hammeredit why didn't you have your headset on? You spoke at the start then ignored me for the rest of the games. The first match that you hosted was like playing through treacle for me, I was trying to ask you if I could try hosting. I'll give you the second match, but I had a severe handicap for the first.
Just a point for the future guys. We are all good sports on here and I am sure you will all admit its not much fun playing when you have to guess what button to press 10 seconds in advance.
For the next league can everyone wear and use headsets? That way if there is a problem with lag then we can sort it quickly. I don't like quitting out of games but I really should have done last night.

Gripe over. Well done guys. Good luck in the semis.

    Cheers

    HARBINATOR

Well done Munkey Boy for organising all this. This format worked a treat. I am keen to arrange another one for April if everyone is up for it. Slightly different format. All to be revealed later....

Do DJBaldy and Hammeredit live together? You guys always post 'together'. You're not Morecambe and Wise are you? Can see you in the bed playing Pro Evo!! Only joking guys!

Wooden spoon boys, how do you fancy our own little league of four on Thursday to see who is the crappest of the crap!?!?!

We were always going to have a laggy connection somewhere, looks like Dan got it bad against Hammer, but this is why I suggested we play home and away so you'd at least have a chance to even it out.

In fact it works out a disadvantage if you have a good high speed connection as the other person doesn't lag! But there you go, Konamis fault I'm afraid. The only lag-free game I had was Monkeyleader away, and we were both on a 3mb connection! Poor network code in PE4, I'm afraid...

Lets wait to see the outcome of this comp first then get another one organised - I agree tho getting the group stages out of the way on one night is top - I just need (much) more practice .. cant make Thursday nite as Ive got a halo2 clan match ... which by the way if you are looking for a halo2 clan to join let me know - we could do with the support !

I think if both players have the same connection then there's no lag - I presume that Pooontang is a 2mb boy as well as that game ran like silk!

I'm quite far from you - i'm up in York, where as you're in Kent. I read something before that the code is pretty ropey and if you have connections of different speeds then the game lags as one connection is always trying to keep up with the other.

hi boys. Me (Hammeredit20) and DjBaldy79 are next door neightbours. I go out with his Sister and don't have a home computer so that's why we post everyting together. Sorry about not wearing my headset Habinator, i snapped the talking bit off by accident the other night and it is therefore very uncomfortable wearing it.
Yeah great games everyone really enjoyed it. Can't wait for the semi's. Keep us posted PooonTang, however, can we try make it before Sunday as i've got to go into hostpital and therefore may not be able to play next week (depending on how much pain i'm in). Friday or Saturday would be good.
If lag is because of te difference in connection speeds then the semi's should run smoothly as me and DJBaldy have both got 2meg BT broadband aswell.

So is friday good for the Semi Finals? same time 10pm?

Soz Gthom, i'm getting you confused with Giz who lives near me(about 40miles) and games with him are usually smooth as well
