I just noticed my ipad lost its login details for the app and I thought I would find the password under keychains on my Mac but its not there. I can see it listed under auto fill but for the life of me I can't see a way to view the password.
Have I missed something simple?

many including me would stop using avf or any site that stores passwords in plain text on a app/web browser lol!

Thanks so where do I find it. Keychain holds most but not AVF. Why does AVF not use the keychain?
Do you know the answer or not?

The answer should be "no chance of retrieving password" on a secure website such as this.

You do know there is a forgotten password feature?

use it

Stop being smart, keychain holds password for sites and I simply enter my password to view.
I take it you don't know

Ah I don't think you have a Mac. Im looking at my keychain now which holds all the passwords for safari registers but AVF is not listed. All the other sites are here so if you do just happen to have a Mac perhaps you could double check.

OSXDaily.com did an article on this recently.

http://osxdaily.com/2013/04/25/retrieve-forgot-website-password/

Tells you how to retrieve lost passwords using Command Line in OSX.

Sorry Mods if I have broken a rule by posting to another site. If so, please take this post down and I will PM the link to the OP.

Fantastic, and a big thank you. I will have a go at that plus they do a script :)

Did it work?

Not at the moment, it seems to want to search the keychain even when i tried the Browser command but I've been snowed under with work and not had a good mess around.
I will try again at the weekend when I get a bit of time.

Really? surely that is a huge security flaw?

Question still stands. what is wrong with using "forgotten password"? You could have sorted your issue out ages ago

I prefer to further my knowledge when I come up against a problem.
oh and yes I did reset my password.

As for a security flaw, well unless you have a Mac you will happily know they are as secure as a Windows based machine, in fact a little more in some areas.
