Flesh Wound - Most Knife Kills:
Track down your target and get up close and personal. With this challenge, there's no harm in bringing a knife to a gun fight. Get the most knife kills and the accolade is yours. Accolades are cumulative through each tier, so keep fighting the good fight to earn more Clan XP.
Time: Aug 1st 6pm to Aug 2nd 5pm

So they'll be even more people panic stabbing - my ultimate pet hate

I hope at some point knifing is made a 2 hit kill (unless from behind) - So annoying

I remember playing this game on Black Ops, in the Arctic/Snowy map, this irish dude was just knifing everyone.
people were moaning at him in the lobby. He claimed to only have 1 arm, and that's the only way he could play! (which I didn't believe)
He was very good!

I don't mind knifing to remain silent, sneaking up on people etc - I do that.
It's when you click the button / stick when you are losing a fire-fight and the animation takes over and you win potentially from miles away / through cover

Does that really happen?! I can honestly I don't think I've ever witnessed that before, the 'winning with a knife from miles away' bit.
When I get knifed it's always up close and personal. The only time it annoys me is when I know I've knifed first in the melee, but it 'misses', and then he knifes me, and doesn't miss.

Oh dear!

I don't like the look of any of these! I doesn't support my [-]campish[/-] strategic gameplay.

Is the melee proficiency available on SMG's? I cant seem to remember.

Well i guess playing those throwing knife playlists would sort this out quicker?

Did I mention I play on tactical and therefore never ever knife?

Most pistol kills considering most pistols are pieces of ****

This could be a MOAB opportunity. Whilst everyone is pistol-ing away, despatch them quickly with specialist + silenced MP7, Get MOAB = Result + Bragging rights

Not as much as MW2, but I still see the odd 'Commando' stab moment.

As soon as you've been shot once, stabbing should be disabled

Yeah dude.
I just prestiged, so doubt I'll have melee before tomorrow (can't remember how far down the rank-up-weapon pecking order this proficiency is)

So many things to comment on where to start,

• Mike agree with you is annoying when you get shots onto people and they spam the control for a knife kill. However feel it should be one hit kill still so prefer your disable idea if shots landed.
• I'm pretty sure they are doing something with the knifing in Blops 2 as they tweeted at OnlyUseMeBlade changes were going to be made that he would like. For anyone not familiar he is a fairly prolific YT commentator and only ever knifes. Some of his Blops Gun Game videos are good for watching. My guess is though the change they are refering to is the new create a class concept which will give him flexibility to design the perfect knife solidier as opposed to carrying a what for him is a completely unecessary gun.
• Lungers just run around like a nutter and forget the stats mate you'll enjoy it. Not sure if throwing knife kills count or not they might even have their own accoldae??? Besider playing a knife only lobby makes it much harder to get the accoldae where people are mainly going for gun kills.
• My guess is HC will be the easiest for most pistol kills but given everyone uses machine pistols or launchers my guess is that even getting one or two kills with a pistol in a normal game will get the accolade.
• Hope I can get on for the knifing one my Scuf controller came yesterday and I need to get into the habbit of using the paddle for knifing. I also don't have the three kill streak with a knife emblem yet, in fact I use the knife so little I think I have under 250 kills with it out of the 70 odd thousand kills I have!

Imo knifes should only OHK on backstabs or when you're out of ammo. Players with higher latency always appear further away so the only choice you have is to shoot whilst they just run you through.

I wonder if the tac knife will count for both events.

Yeah I remember game was playing like a dream for me that night was definitely some undeserved kills for me that night but was also some nice shots too

We didn't! it was a beta test and was removed shortly after being listed. Some clans managed to sign up to it though before being removed.

Hmm I don't understand why I didn't get an accolade in the last match. It was only 6 seconds gone when I connected 11 stabs for nowt there where only 2 others in the entire match.

Also I'm not sure if the tac knife counts I should have more like 5 so far.

Edit : They've showed up now so it does count.

We've done stage III 19 accolades 300XP if there's no stages after that it's a bit poor.

EDIT: It says cumulative through each Tier, but it doesn't seem to be showing IV

Sorry about the double disappearing act, Dan. Same thing happened twice, my router went kaput. I guess my router like Dome either....gooood router!

Shame cos I think that the knife challenge was well fun!

Yeah it was quite satisfying apart from some typical fail against 3 bar French. It didn't affect my KD too much 192-50 over 12 matches with 75 stabs.

I'm not sure what loadout to use for tonight silenced single or akimbo.

I reckon i'll go with the MP412 or the D'eagle.

I haven't used the D'eagle in MW3, I wonder if the recoil is similar to the one in MW2? That had the slowest centre speed for any shots further than spitting distance.

I dont think I'll bother with tonight's one. I am sheeite with a hand gun.
Switchblade, Flanker, all part of my regular game, get these acco's all the time.
Most Handgun Kills = not-a-one!!
I'm just gonna do the Switchblade challenge again I think! A couple of the games I had, played so well just knifing that I got all of the top accolades (Most Kills, Highest KD, etc... the usual suite that goes with), that they couldn't fit in Switchblade! cos you only get 5 acco's per game, maximum, right? (or is that just what's displayed?)
Cos I DEFFO got most knife kills in those 2 games.
Fun, anyway.

Ghimph, how can you tell how many stab kills you had over a few games? is there a stat in-game that one can look at? or you just keep a tally manually?
