***ABOUT THE CLAN***


AVF Band of Brothers is a multi-platform gaming group/clan. We were formed entirely from former members of the old AVF K-Zone Killzone 2 clan and AVF members.
Although there is a clan element to us, i.e. AVF Tournaments etc, we have set this group/clan up mainly to game and socialise as a group for fun and with like-minded people.
We are a clan who are all about fun, friendly games, and lots of banter.
But to keep the spirit of competition alive within us all, we also like to get serious now and then.

We are active in quite a few games, new and old, on both consoles as well as on the PC where we have our own Steam group. (The PS3 is our primary gaming platform though)

We want all of our members to feel part of a large team that plays fair and has respect for other members as well as other clans/groups/people.


***THE CLAN WEBSITE***


We have our own forum website which is very lively and used regularly daily.

Instead of the free forum sites out there we have decided to use our own hosting and create our own forum which gives us great flexibility over the site content. Unfortunately this comes at a small price. So to ease the burden of costs we ask all our members if possible for a small donation to help with the running costs of the site and hosting. Which ATM is around £1.50 per member, per year, MAX!!! And it is greatly appreciated.

***WHAT WE ASK OF OUR MEMBERS***


IMPORTANT



Anyone wishing to join the clan/group:

* MUST own a PS3*

*Be willing to be involved with the group on the PS3 (Xbox 360 and PC if owned)*

*Be active on our website*

*Be an active AVF Member with at least 100 posts(or in special cases be friend/family of a current member)*

*Headsets are not required but if you have one it would be great (get involved in the banter)*

*Be willing to be involved in different games (1 game players need not apply, but you don't need to own every game we play)*

*Be willing to participate in a 2 week trial*

*Respect all members and players you may come across (treat others as you would wish to be treated)*

Abuse will not be tolerated at all.



***The Trial***


To ensure we get members on board who are actually willing to be active we have set up a 2 week trial.

During the 2 weeks you're on trial the clan will assess you to see if you are active online as well as on our website.

It sounds harsher than it is. But it is necessary as we have had quite a few time wasters apply to never be seen again. This is also the reason we ask for AVF members to have made at least 100 posts before applying, as its shows your are at least an active poster.


So if you are not put off by what we ask of you then please send a Private Message (PM) to wbabbington and let him know you're interested.


NOTE


If you do not PM wbabbington then that basically shows us you have not even bothered to read the above. So you will be turned away.

wbabbington will give you all the info you need once you have PM'ed him.


***INACTIVITY***


We would like people to be as active as possible both on the PS3 (and other formats if owned) and our website (especially).
If members are found to be inactive on the site, the PS3, or both, then be warned you will be removed from the clan to make room for possible new active members.

We understand people have commitments. (Jobs, Families etc)
So If for any reason you may be AWOL for a bit please, if possible, let us know so we don't boot you out by mistake.
A quick message on the either website or the PSN is all it takes.

We don't expect you to play every game and spend every minute online with fellow members.
We understand you may not like a certain game or there may not be everyone playing a game you like, or you may want to try playing some games single player or with other friends. That is totally fine.

That still doesn't stop you from posting on the site though.

We chat regularly on the site about the many games to play etc anyway so you will no doubt be involved with someone from the clan/group online in some way. After all, this is what you joined for.

We have some conditions for activity on our site that were voted for by all members. These will be explained on our site on joining.

yay first post
i had quoted and by the time i had typed it was closed so here it is:

aww man, sometimes i feel like punching the screen and if i had a job i probably would but its far too prescious atm. i sit at a desk when i play so it is entirely possible that it could happen.

the next closest thing is the wall but i think that would hurt me more than i would hurt it.


man those 1887's should be banned or something, one guy shot bothe me an sharpy with one burst while we were cowering in a corner at c domination point while he was outside in the back alley, i joke about them being sniper rifle attachments for your arms but goddam.

i feel like screaming sometimes but at 2am my mum and sister wouldnt be too happy.

then a few games before i went 0-4 before killing someone in that match of snd even though we were messing around it was still frustrating.

 

You know thats exactly how i felt about them when you, chalky and TP were running about with them killing me all the time. Was even going to suggest that when the BoB's are together we dont use them, but then I unlocked them and fell in love.

 

guys my connection is going haywire, ive been disconnected for the last 10 mins or so , im posting this so that you know the reason if in not on for the match

hopefully itll be alright on the night but i cant be sure

if im not on someone contact askew(the host for tonight or craig8718 and use the subs)

 

+1 - I remember thinking dam Stevie has two bazookers - one in each hand

I should be fine for tonights match, however I am still at work...

We had pizza brought in, unfortunately mine had (what I think were) artichokes on it (asked for a basic ham and mushroom!) which made me feel sick just from the smell! Ill hopefully get out of here soon...

if i bow out your first to take my place

i gave it a try for 45 mins or so just now and only had 1 disconnect so ill jump on at 9 again and try ot from then to 10 and if its still ok by 10:20 or so ill play but if i disconnect between now and then ill give it a miss

 

not sure if i'll be there as reerve for tonight still got a pile of work to do for tomorrow! fingers crossed though!

i really wanna try and get on tonight anyway and get that nuke 23 kills 3 bloody times!

 

just remember, when you get your first you still need another one for the title

Stevie mate - if you only had one disconnect your in - don't care what you say

Don't worry about the number of people you have killed numbers etc - if you do get disconnected you are allowed to reconnect - and it i don't think it will effect the overall score which is all that matters

 

In that case we need all the luck we can get

It was the same for everyone though. It want through patches of being spot on and then got worst again. Well done guys, you got us in the end and I certainly enjoyed it. It was close though.
